The 1996 Dodge Ram 7500 is designed in Mexico. These trucks were available in various configurations, with both 2WD and 4WD options. The 6500 and 7500 models were part of the second generation Dodge Ram lineup in Mexico, known for their powerful engines and ability to tow. 

1996 Dodge Ram 6500/7500:

  • Engine Options: These trucks offered a range of engines, including the 5.9L Cummins diesel, the 8.0L V10, and various V8 gasoline engines. 
  • Transmissions:

    They were available with both manual and automatic transmissions, with the NV4500 5-speed manual being a popular choice, and the NV5600 6-speed manual being a desirable upgrade. 

  • Towing:

    The 6500 and 7500 models were known for their robust towing capabilities, with heavy-duty cooling and transmission options available. 

  • Features:
  • Features like quick-ratio power steering, rear-wheel anti-lock brakes, and heavy-duty cooling systems were available, along with trailer wiring harnesses and Class IV trailer hitch receivers. 
  • 7/13/2025 - 5:07PM EST: - Mod version 1.0.0.1 is now live. Fixed textures. Fixed placement of a few things around the mod. Complete engine over haul for more torque and power and a 12 speed transmission. Added J break sounds. Added a CB radio. Added extra fuel tank options. Fixed the sleeper cabs lights to turn on and off properly. Added a few extra details around the mod.
